Why:
Celebrate parenting and thank everyone who pulls together to keep our families rolling along! Grandparents, pediatricians, nurses, social service agencies, childcare providers, teachers, coaches, first responders…all who help build a consistent caring, supportive, protective community for our children.

11AM: RED WAGON PARADE

Kids of all ages and their families, neighbors and friends are invited to decorate Red Wagons, trikes and bikes, and/or walk with posters thanking the names of those who pull together to keep our families rolling along!

• Come one, come all!

• Parade led by the 5-person KC Chiefs drumline, Rumble.

• $10 suggested donation to the Raised with Love and Limits Foundation for preventing adverse childhood experience and toxic stress to improve children’s health, learning and behavior.

• Honorary Red Wagon Parade Grand Marshal: Leawood Mayor Peggy Dunn

• Parade attendees will meet at the intersection of Ash Street and 115th Terrace/Rosewood behind BSA Architects 10:30-10:45 a.m. Parade will begin promptly at 11am and proceed down Ash Street to Barkley Square. Please click here to view or print map.

“Parenting to Go” Tent:
• Parents can get all of their medical questions and answered by Shawnee Mission Health - Katie J. Lorentz, MD, Internal Medicine & Pediatrics at Shawnee Mission Health and behavior questions answered by parent educator/author Barbara C. Unell and psychologist/author Jerry L. Wyckoff, Ph.D., co-authors of Discipline with Love and Limits, and co-founders of The Raised with Love and Limits Foundation.
• Shawnee Mission Health’s “Doc in a Box” allows kids to become familiar and comfortable with healthcare through friendly conversations, practicing with bandages and more.
• Guests can purchase special t-shirts and Discipline with Love and Limits books, and get free stickers and other fun giveaways.
• Guests can enter drawings for:
   • Little Tikes Wagon filled with goodies donated from Shawnee Mission Health
   • $50 Park Place Gift Card

Park Place Tent:

Kid’s above listed stationary activities plus event day registration from 10-10:30am.

FOOD & DRINK
BurgerFi - Grab & Go lunches will be available to purchase in Barkley Square.  Plus, enjoy $1.99 kids meals with adult purchases in the restaurant.

Directions:
Conveniently located in Leawood, Kansas at 117th Street and Ash Street, Park Place is one block east of Nall Avenue, just minutes from the Nall Avenue Exit off I-435, AMC 20 is located to the south of Park Place and Sprint Campus is located to the west of Park Place on the opposite side of Nall.

Parking:
Park Place has free and convenient parking with three convenient covered parking garages:
• 117th Street Garage – Access directly from 117th Street or from the south end of Ash Street inside Park Place.
• Nall Street Garage – Access directly from Nall Avenue or from 115th Terrace off Ash Street inside Park Place (note: 115th Terrace will be closed for the parade at 10:50am).
• AMC Corporate Theatre – Access from 115th Terrace or Town Center Drive.
