435 South’s Gloria Gale recently reviewed Park Place’s smooth wine bistro and found it to be swanky and seductive.

“We rattled off our picks with assurance – seared scallops, shoestring potatoes, braised short ribs, flatbread pizza, crab wraps and for good measure, one green salad. ‘Good?’ I inquired from my friends. ‘Um…yes,’ both nodded confidently before offering me a taste.

Meanwhile, between tastings of this and that, I scanned the room. This wasn’t TGIF Friday… it was Wednesday and the place was jammed. This is definitely a place to be seen. One couple snuggled tightly in a cushy banquette. Another table of six bantered incessantly to the artfully designed plates that kept appearing.

But back to the business at hand, each time I reached forkful, I was thoroughly delighted. Flavors mixed and mingled with consensus awarded to the braised short ribs. ‘Out of this world,’ sang one of Gale’s friends.
